Artificial Intelligence has invaded our lives

Artificial Intelligence has invaded our lives. We cannot do without it anymore. Those who resist using it are seen as living in the Neanderthal age. Everything around us is touched by AI — from technical articles to food recipes, from bedtime stories to breaking news, from images and videos to love letters and resignation letters. Gentlemen, there is no escape.

Even our careers are shaped by AI: CVs are written with AI prompts, then scanned by AI driven HR bots before a human even looks at them. Technology is fighting technology — the old saying loha lohay ko kaat ta hai feels more true than ever.

Which brings us to education. If AI can generate answers faster than we can type the question, do we still need schools? If AI tutors can teach any subject, in any language, at any speed, do we still need classrooms? Teachers may soon stop teaching and start coaching students on how to argue with ChatGPT when it hallucinates.

And the fun begins in the engineering colleges — the crown jewel of Indian education. There are 10,000 of them across the country. Today they proudly run Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, CS and half a dozen other departments. Tomorrow they will all merge into a single department — the Department of Prompt Engineering. Every student will graduate with a shiny new degree called BE (PE).

No more expensive labs, no more machines that stopped working ten years ago, no more surprise vivas. The final year project will simply be “Design the perfect prompt to get ChatGPT to write your final year project on building a car that runs on sewage water.”

College management will be the happiest — no big investments needed. Just a few computers, a good internet line, and an enterprise subscription to some AI tools. No labs, no workshops, minimal faculty headaches.

At this rate, Indian engineering colleges can proudly proclaim, we deliver 100 percent Artificially Intelligent engineering graduates to the industry. Fully certified, fully automated. And of course AI ready !

The Seduction, The Regret, and The Rescue.

We recently hired a young marketing team, and one of them casually asked, “Who’s our ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)?” Tough question—especially in the fragmented world of manufacturing.
